About Alissa
Professional and Supportive Tutor for Primary School Students As a university student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and interpersonal skills to my tutoring sessions. My background allows me to connect deeply with students, understanding their individual needs and helping them feel comfortable and confident while learning. I focus on Bahasa Melayu, Science, and Mathematics for primary school students, using a student-centered approach. Each lesson is tailored to the student's pace and learning style, ensuring a supportive, effective, and enjoyable learning experience. Though I am new to formal tutoring, my passion for education and my counseling skills allow me to create a nurturing environment that encourages growth and confidence. My Approach to Tutoring:
I use a student-centered approach, focusing on building a positive, supportive learning environment. My techniques include breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, interactive activities, and real-life examples to make learning fun and engaging. I believe in tailoring each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style.
Typical Length of a Lesson: Each lesson is typically 1 hour long, but I am flexible depending on the student’s needs and attention span.
Qualifications/Experience: I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, which allows me to connect with students on a personal level and understand their learning needs. Though new to formal tutoring, my background in counselling helps me create a nurturing space for students to feel confident and comfortable.
Who Are My Lessons For: My lessons are designed for primary school students (ages 7-12) in Bahasa Melayu, Science, and Mathematics. I offer personalized tutoring to help them improve their skills, understand concepts, and build confidence in their academic journey.
