About Yoon

Bonjour! My name is Yoon and I am a French native teacher from Bretagne, France. I have graduated from University of British Columbia in Canada with Masters in French Language and Literature and I am a current PHD student in French at UBC. I have taught French for more than 12 years to people from all over the world and I have worked in private language institutions, Alliance Française and at the University of British Columbia as a French instructor. I have learned foreign languages such as English, Korean, Spanish and Japanese so I understand the challenges and struggles in learning a new language. I can help you to achieve your learning goals by focusing on your level, interests and needs. My teaching approach is communicative and interactive, maximizing the use of target language. I adapt to all ages, levels (A1 to C2) and nationalities. I am very attentive to your needs and I always try to bring innovative and playful practices to my teaching. Whether you want to learn French for your own pleasure or preparing for an exam (such as DELF, DALF, TEF, TEFAQ, TCF, TFI, AP and SAT), I will be happy to assist you in reaching your goals ! Bonjour!
Je m’appelle Yoon et je suis enseignante de français, diplômée en langue et littérature française. J’enseigne le français aux étrangers depuis plus de 12 ans. J’ai longtemps habité en France et en Corée mais maintenant, j’habite au Canada où je fais mon doctorat en français et travaille comme traductrice et enseignante. Je parle l’anglais, le français, le coréen et un peu d’espagnol. Concernant la méthode d’enseignement, je vous propose des cours structurés, interactifs et adaptés à vos besoins, motivations et projets que ce soit découverte de la langue, préparations des examens comme le DELF, DALF, TEF, TEFAQ, TCF, TFI et SAT. J’ai beaucoup d’expériences avec les enfants, les adolescents et les adultes de tous les niveaux que ce soit débutant, intermédiaire et avancé. Je suis une personne patiente, dynamique et passionnée pour les langues, l’art et les différentes cultures. About the lesson

My teaching approach is communicative and interactive, maximizing the use of target language. I like to integrate audio-video materials to stimulate an interactive learning environment. My classes are also very structured and I adopt a thematic approach, encouraging the students to work on various topics.

She did such an amazing job and my son passed the test with success. After that nice experience, I decided to have intensive private classes with her. During that time, I could see what a good teacher she is because she has a tremendous amount of knowledge of what she is teaching. She also has the ability to pass it on to her students in an effective way because she knows the process of learning a new language. I would say that she is an exceptional teacher and I would continue to work with her!
