About Inaas

I'm Inaas and I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude.

My journey into education began early, during high school, when I established my own tutoring service specializing in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and SAT Math. I crafted personalized lesson plans and gained valuable insights into both one-on-one and group teaching dynamics. Additionally, I provided independent tutoring for elementary and middle school students, further honing my teaching skills.

During my pursuit of a master's degree, I took on the role of a teacher's assistant. In this capacity, I actively contributed to the educational process by helping design exam questions and preparing students for the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of the CPA exam. I devoted 10-12 hours a week during the school year to assist students with their homework and quiz questions, ensuring their academic success.

Beyond academics, I've also had the privilege of serving as a mentor to aspiring professionals looking to embark on careers in accounting and Management Information Systems.

Now, I'm here in Manhattan, ready to offer my tutoring services either online or in person. My teaching philosophy revolves around building a strong, trust-based relationship with your child, creating a safe and supportive learning environment, and infusing our sessions with an element of fun to foster effective learning.

About the lesson

I teach my classes by incorporating your syllabus, worksheets, homework and practice exams and create a personalized lesson plan based off of the best available information I have!

I teach financial accounting to undergrad and graduate level students.

Last semester, I tutored a numerous amount of financial accounting MBA students attending Columbia University.

I use an interactive white board and am really big on making sure that as a student, you understand the concept behind the accounting logic, rather than memorizing equations.

Accounting is a lot easier once you understand the "why" behind the logic.

I focus a lot on making sure the student understands the basics and then drilling up to more challenging problems that are on par with test questions!
