About Holly
I've been working as a freelance animator for several years, as well as running art and animation workshops for all ages. I have a BA (Hons) in Animation from Edinburgh College of Art, experience tutoring online, and a love of helping people learn and experiment creatively! I've worked on (award-winning) short films; adverts; projections for events and theatre; music videos; interactive projects; and films made in community art workshops. I am a mixed-media animator, so I have experience in lots of different ways of making 2D animation, with a hand-made, expressive feel. I've run animation in primary and secondary schools, and with community groups of all ages.

If you'd like to experiment with different ways of making animation, express yourself creatively, and understand the fundamentals of 2D animation, then these are the lessons for you! Based on your interests and goals, we'll explore different techniques, software and concepts in a supportive and fun environment. This might include drawing animation, stop motion with paper cut-outs or puppets, collage, charcoal, paint, digital tools... tell me what you're excited by! These personalised lessons can be tailored to interested students from 8+. No qualifications are needed - classes are aimed at total beginners, or people with some experience they'd like to build on. Classes usually last one or two hours.
