About Vincent
I am a flute tutor with a passion for helping students develop both skill and creativity. My lessons combine technical training with mentorship, critical thinking, and creative exploration. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging self-expression. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening to build complete musicianship. Creativity is an essential part of my approach, including improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. Accountability is important, and I guide students to set goals, practise consistently, and track their progress. Mistakes are treated as natural steps towards improvement.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace, skill level, and interests. I encourage reflection, problem-solving, and independent thinking in every session. Lessons are structured but engaging, keeping students motivated and inspired. I aim to build confidence, discipline, and independence alongside musical ability. I also teach related subjects such as performance preparation and rhythm. I create a supportive, positive, and encouraging learning environment.
