About Gwendolyn
I am a dedicated and creative student with a strong passion for art and writing. I understand how overwhelming an assignment can feel when you aren't sure where to start, so I aim to make every lesson supportive, comfortable, and easy to understand.
I am patient, encouraging, and willing to adapt my teaching style to each student's needs. Whether you need help brainstorming ideas, improving your writing, understanding an assignment, or developing your artistic skills, I will work with you at your own pace and provide constructive feedback along the way.
My goal is not only to help students complete their assignments, but also to help them become more confident in their own abilities. I take every lesson seriously and come prepared to give each student my full attention and support.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student's learning style and goals. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are able to be creative without worrying about making mistakes.
For arts, I can help students develop their creativity, explore different techniques, and build confidence in their own artistic style. For writing, I can help with brainstorming, organization, grammar, creative writing, essays, and developing ideas into clear and engaging pieces. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I guide them through the process so they can understand the skills and use them independently.
A typical lesson begins by discussing what the student would like to work on and identifying anything they are struggling with. We then work through examples or exercises together before allowing the student to practice on their own with guidance and feedback. I finish by reviewing what we accomplished and discussing what they can continue practicing.
What sets me apart is that I want learning to feel enjoyable and approachable. I am especially suited to helping elementary, middle, and high school students who want extra support, need help understanding an assignment, or simply want to improve their creative skills in a relaxed environment. My lessons can be adapted to beginners as well as students who already have experience with art or writing.
