About Xiaodan

I am a Creative Bilingual Immersion Specialist helping learners of all ages build Mandarin skills through immersive, engaging, and practical communication-based learning.

My teaching method combines storytelling, music, psychology-based learning strategies, and interactive activities to help students naturally absorb Mandarin instead of memorizing it mechanically.

About the lesson

I work with:

Young children (through play, music, and visual storytelling)
School-age learners (communication, confidence building, and structured language practice)
Adults (real-life conversation, pronunciation, and practical Mandarin usage)

Each lesson is adapted to the student’s age and goals, but always focuses on one core principle: learning Mandarin through meaningful interaction, not memorization alone.

Lesson Duration Options

I offer flexible lesson lengths to suit different ages, goals, and learning styles. Based on my experience, I recommend the following formats:

• Young children (ages 3–5): 30 minutes (best for attention span and engagement)-$30
• School-age learners (ages 6–10): 45 minutes-$50
• Teens and adults: 60 minutes-$65

However, all lesson durations are flexible. Students and parents are welcome to choose 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute sessions depending on their schedule and learning needs. I will always adapt the lesson structure to ensure each session remains engaging, effective, and age-appropriate.
