About Micaela
I have been lucky enough to live and teach abroad, compete in gymnastics to a high level, coached children to win State Championships, and have a wide breadth of teaching experience particularly with children from different parts of the world.
I am currently a primary school supply teacher and have nine years experience working with primary aged children as a teacher, gymnastics and cheerleading coach. Therefore, I have a very strong understanding of the abilities and interests of under-11s. During this time I have also been able to perfect my interactive, lively and exploratory teaching style. For example, when learning multiplication facts I teach using concrete objects such as smarties to help children build strong fundamentals.
I believe my experience that I have touched on above put me in a great position to provide children with a lively, cheerful and effective tutor. I welcome the opportunity to speak about my experiences for your children should you believe that I am a good fit.
