Armed with a BA in Math from UC Berkeley, an MA in Teaching Math, and the prestigious National Board Certification, I possess a robust educational foundation that underpins my expertise. My journey as an educator has traversed international borders, spanning five years in South Korea, Taiwan, and France, in addition to a notable seven-year tenure at the renowned College Preparatory School, ranked number one in California and fifth in the nation. Serving as the chair of the math department there for two years showcased my leadership and commitment to educational excellence.
Relocating to Phoenix, I continued my mission of fostering mathematical understanding at the Phoenix Country Day School. My deep comprehension of the learning process, coupled with a passion for empowering students to strengthen their mathematical thinking, sets me apart from the rest of the pack.

In the virtual realm, I harnesses the power of technology to create an engaging and effective learning environment. Leveraging an iPad Pro and Zoom, I enable students to witness my teachings unfold in real time. About the lesson

I use Zoom and my iPad Pro to tutor students virtually. Sharing my screen turns my students' computer screen into a virtual white board. I harness the power of technology to make every lesson engaging and interactive. My strong educational background, teacher training, and classroom experience make me stand out as a math tutor. I tailor every lesson to the needs of each student, focusing on student questions about the topics they are currently studying in their class. I create a team environment where I work together with the student to solve problems. I use questioning techniques to both assess student understanding and to coach students throughout the process. The goal of every lesson is to make progress by clarifying uncertainties, strengthening understanding, and building confidence. I strive to make every lesson both fun and rewarding for my students.
