About Mariam

Hi! I’m a passionate crochet artist and small business owner, with over 4 years of crochet experience. Crochet started as a creative hobby for me and gradually turned into a small business where I create handmade products, design original crochet patterns, and work on custom orders for clients.

Over the years, I have also trained and guided others in learning crochet, helping beginners build confidence and improve their skills step-by-step. I love teaching because I enjoy seeing students turn simple yarn into beautiful creations while developing their own creativity and style.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and encouraging. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I make sure my lessons are comfortable, interactive, and easy to follow. Whether you are picking up a crochet hook for the very first time or want to improve your existing skills, I aim to create a positive learning environment where you feel confident asking questions and learning at your own pace.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching crochet is patient, creative, and highly personalised according to each student’s pace and goals. I focus on making learning enjoyable and easy to understand, especially for beginners who may feel intimidated at first. I break down every technique step-by-step and guide students through live demonstrations, practice exercises, and hands-on projects to build both confidence and skill.

I teach everything from crochet basics such as holding yarn, reading patterns, and basic stitches to advanced techniques including amigurumi, custom pattern creation, shaping, detailing, and finishing techniques. Since I run my own crochet business and create original patterns myself, I also help students understand the creative and practical side of crochet, including tips for improving neatness, speed, and even starting a small crochet business.

My lessons are usually 1 to 1.5 hours long depending on the student’s level and learning needs. I teach online and ensure that classes remain interactive, supportive, and beginner-friendly. I also provide guidance outside lessons whenever students need help with practice or projects.

I have 4 years of crochet experience and have trained multiple people in crochet techniques and pattern-making. My classes are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, hobbyists, and anyone interested in learning crochet creatively regardless of age.
