About Elizabeth
I started teaching Crochet while completing my BS in Accounting at a CSU. Part of my educational experience was working with several groups that specialized in making yarn based items. As much fun as it was making items, I found that I loved teaching too.
I enjoy helping my students learn the basics of crochet and move through to intermediate stitches, practice projects, and ultimately onto their next level goals.
The best part of gig teaching, is that I can meet you on your schedule at a safe public place like a library or local tea spot.
A One hour experience for a single student class can be a fun way to start. You get to learn at your own pace with basic stitches that you can practice until our follow-up classes. Learning while being able to see how it's done in a patient atmosphere.
Crochet and proficiency do take practice as an important component of stitches is muscle memory. In your classes we will have dedicated time to learn and practice stitches and to tailor projects to interests that you will enjoy.
I'm very excited to work with you on your journey in hand crafted Crochet.

Each student has their own learning style. While the stitches may be in videos or books, not everyone can comfortably learn using those channels.
This is why I teach ♡ as I'm enthusiastic about the art of crochet and seeing it one-on-one often is key in learning this type of hand crafting.
A One hour Single student class experience will start you off with the basics. Follow-up classes will give you dedicated time to master each set of stitches that you then can practice.
I will help you plan your practice projects to use the skills you've learned and make each level of accomplishment a journey you can enjoy while reaching the next level of proficiency.
I'm very excited to help you along to your dream projects, Elizabeth

The length of the Free session is 30 minutes to meet, so we can work out your learning goals and lesson plans.

- Maryann - such a wonderful meeting ♡ Note: working with stitch markers, and exploring finishing steps are on the checklist. Your stitches are very nice, good job on your accomplishments so far. Very excited to be your teacher for the next steps in your crochet adventure!Elizabeth's response :
I look forward to many more intermediate style stitching and wearables planning, plus blankets.
See you soon, Elizabeth
Perfect! She is kind and understanding and teaches from the learners perspective. She applies it to life skills, trial and error. My 10 year old son learned his first stitch today and he felt proud. Is looking forward to his next lesson
- Miguel did fantastic! 1. Keep the loop around the hook large enough to slide the hook through 2. Keep his "claw" close to the hook while holding the tail.Elizabeth's response :
Also suggested a size 6mm hook, light colored acrylic yarn to bring to next lesson.
See you next week.
