About Maricel
Hello!
Im Maru! Crochet is my passion and full time job. Im also a nomad, this means that i´ve been travelling around the world for the last 6 years. To do that i´ve created a brand of Crochet handmade Tops and been giving crochet workshops in different countries and languages. I´m originaly from Argentina, and i have a degree in Psicology. Currently i´m living in Thailand giving presencial crochet workshops in the island of Koh Phanghan. Also i give online classes worldwide and have an online course to learn how to make crochet tops. If you never pick up a crochet hook, but you are interested in discovering this beautiful world this is the place where everything begins!
The classes for beginners are destined to learn how to crochet from scratch, we are going to learn a new language made of stitches, shapes and colors. Starting on how to choose your materials, how to grab your yarn and hook correclty and learning all the sitches that exist in the technique. My way of teaching is by making projects. That way you will understad the logic and the different structures and also will be already creating something. Mi goal is that you can be an independent crocheter and be able to start the projects of your choice knowing how to read and interpret crochet Patterns.
For me Crocheting is such a complete technique, uniting what happens outside between the yarn and our hands with what is generated and grows inside when we give ourselfs the time to create. Crochet is an active meditation, it is spending time with yourself, dancing with your hands, breathing and where almost without realizing it you end up with something new ... internally and externally.
And it is a pleasure that new people meet this feeling!
