I have always faced a problem as a school student and the tutors I got never actually cleared the concept of what actually programming is.We all would eventually end up memorizing the code rather than understanding it.
Programming is needed by everyone and properly understanding the concept is important.
I believe in giving concepts from the root level as students are not in that much of a pressure and understanding code would be easier
