About Xiaocheng

你好，我叫张晓橙，来自中国，我的英文名字是Stella。

Hello! My name is Stella, and I am a native Chinese speaker living in Hebei, China. I love working out, cooking, and sharing my life with others. But most importantly, I love learning and sharing languages. I really enjoy talking with people from different cultures. In the past few years, I have worked in Beijing as a QA in an American company and currently, I am an English teacher in Hebei. At the same time, I have been using my spare time to tutor Mandarin online since 2021. I am a certified Chinese teacher and hold a qualification certificate for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. I have also been sharing Chinese language knowledge and culture on TikTok, where I have gained 70K followers. I am excited to teach more students from all over the world.

You may have heard that Chinese is the most challenging language to learn, especially the four tones. But don't worry, I will make Chinese learning easier for you. I will help you build your confidence in learning Chinese. For example, the third tone goes down and then up. If you can't get it, I will tell you when you are thinking you will say "well" 我 is pronounced with the third tone. Do you understand?

My teaching style is easy to follow, and I am patient enough to allow you to interrupt at any time to ask a question. I will not only teach you new words and structures but also help you use them in real Chinese conversations and share the most authentic Chinese culture with you. I will send notes and exercises after each class to help you review. I will also conduct Chinese conversations at the beginning of each lesson to help you review.
