About Josefa
I am a Cuban-trained music teacher with a master’s degree in music and a strong commitment to helping students discover their musical abilities. I work with children and adults in both English and Spanish, always adapting my instruction to the individual.
I understand that singing can feel very personal, especially for beginners. My teaching style is patient, respectful, and encouraging, allowing students to build confidence gradually while developing solid musical skills.
I enjoy helping each student recognize the unique qualities of their voice, overcome uncertainty, and communicate through music. Whether someone wants to sing for personal enjoyment, improve musical foundations, or feel more confident performing songs, I provide thoughtful guidance in a welcoming and professional environment.

My singing lessons help students develop their natural voices with greater confidence, control, and musical expression. Lessons are personalized for children and adults, including complete beginners and singers who want to improve their existing skills.
A typical lesson begins with breathing, posture, and gentle vocal warm-ups. We then work on pitch, tone, rhythm, diction, vocal range, and song interpretation. Music is selected according to the student’s voice, experience, interests, and goals.
I create a supportive environment where students can explore their voices without embarrassment or unnecessary pressure. Lessons are offered in English or Spanish and are available in person in Miami or online. My goal is to help every student sing more comfortably, understand how to use the voice effectively, and enjoy expressing themselves through music.
