About David
I’m a passionate culinary instructor with more than 30 years of professional and teaching experience. Over the years, I’ve been trained and mentored by chefs from around the world and have learned advanced baking and pastry techniques from award-winning pastry chefs here in the US. As a teacher, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students who went on to compete—and win—in hospitality, culinary, and pastry competitions. Some of my former students have worked alongside celebrity chefs you see on Food Network, while others have continued their culinary journeys in respected kitchens and top culinary schools, including the Culinary Institute of America. My approach is hands-on, encouraging, and confidence-building. I don’t just teach recipes—I teach the skills, techniques, and creativity that allow you to feel at home in the kitchen. Whether you’re a beginner learning to prepare simple meals, an aspiring chef preparing for culinary school, or a passionate foodie wanting to sharpen your baking or knife skills, I’ll help you grow your confidence and reach your goals. Why Take Culinary Lessons With Me?
I believe food should be approachable, fun, and confidence-building.
My lessons combine clear step-by-step instruction with hands-on practice, so students not only follow recipes but also learn why each technique works. I use real-world kitchen scenarios to teach knife skills, cooking methods, baking foundations, and plating techniques—always with an emphasis on safety, creativity, and flavor.
Each lesson starts with a quick overview of the recipe or technique of the day, along with a short discussion of its background and applications.
From there, we break down the steps into manageable stages: prep, cooking or baking, tasting, and presentation.
I include interactive Q&A and plenty of tips for substitutions, time-saving hacks, and scaling recipes up or down.
We finish with reflection and tasting notes, so students can apply what they’ve learned in their own kitchens.
