I tutored college students while an engineering student myself with great results. That was 25 years ago, but my skills are as relevant today. I turned D grade students to consistent A and B grade students. It felt great for both the students and myself. The respect and admiration I received as a tutor by both the students and their parents was an added bonus. The students were then able to continue with their college studies once they passed the required math curriculum.

I'm an Electrical Engineer turned contractor in NYC. While my business goes through some changes, I've decided to return to tutoring.
My teaching style involves breaking the lesson down to its most basic components and using layman's terms when possible. This approach helps students better grasp the material being taught. I try and fill the gaps the teacher may have left while teaching and presenting the material. I've had good results using this method. Showing how mathematics can relate to daily life also helps to make the learning process more relevant, interesting and enjoyable.
