About Grace

I’m a 21-year-old Biological Science student in my third year of university, passionate about learning and self-improvement. My journey has been shaped by taking a gap year to explore my options, which helped me choose the path that best aligns with my goals.

Over time, I’ve developed a variety of skills that I bring to both academic and professional settings. I excel in essay writing and planning, statistical analysis (which I absolutely love!!), and referencing techniques. I’m also proficient in proofreading and paraphrasing, with plenty of tips and tricks to make these processes more effective. although this ad is focused on University entrance advice and tutoring, I do offer help writing scientifically.

I’m not someone who always loved education. In fact, I didn’t enjoy school - and I’ll be honest, A-Levels were a real struggle for me. That’s why I took a gap year. At the time, I just wanted to be done with education altogether. But going to university has completely changed my perspective. It showed me that with the right support, mindset, and guidance, academic success doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or out of reach. Now, I want to help others experience that same shift in confidence and direction.

Studying for a degree is a much more independent process compared to school. While both involve covering specific topics, university offers greater flexibility, particularly in written assignments and essays. You're encouraged to explore your own interests within the subject, allowing you to tailor your research and writing to areas you're passionate about. This freedom not only makes learning more engaging but also helps develop critical thinking and self-motivation, as you're often responsible for managing your time and shaping your own academic journey

In addition to my studies, I currently work at secondary school, and have previously worked for the NHS. These roles have given me valuable insights into healthcare and education, strengthening my organisational and interpersonal skills.

I’m a laid-back and approachable person who enjoys supporting and encouraging others. I understand that the academic journey can be challenging, but with the right guidance and encouragement—just as I was fortunate to receive—it's possible to achieve things you may have never thought possible. I truly believe that a positive and supportive environment can make all the difference in helping someone reach their full potential.

***ONLINE SESSION INFORMATION***
- Online sessions are offered at a lower rate compared to in-person sessions.
- All online sessions will be conducted via Zoom or another suitable video conferencing platform.
- Sessions will not be held over FaceTime or other similar platforms to ensure both your privacy and mine.
- Online sessions will never be recorded at any time.
- During online sessions, I will share my screen with you to facilitate learning and explanations.
- Online sessions will always take place from my home. If, for any reason, this is not possible, I will relocate to a quiet and appropriate area and inform you in advance.

***IN-PERSON SESSION INFORMATION***
- All in-person sessions will be conducted in a public setting, such as a library, coffee shop, or another quiet place with minimal distractions, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both of us.
- In-person sessions within 15 minutes of my home location (NN5) do not incur a travel fee. Any travel beyond 15 minutes will incur a fee of £5.
- All in-person sessions must take place within Northamptonshire.
-To protect both myself and the student, I kindly ask that anyone attending an in-person session arrives on time and is in a suitable condition to participate fully.

***GENERAL GUIDELINES***
- I am one person here to help support your learning, and this tutoring is also a source of income for me. Therefore, I kindly ask for your understanding that I cannot accommodate lateness or late cancellations without extra fees.
- Mutual respect and a positive attitude are essential for a productive and enjoyable learning experience. Please come prepared, be punctual, and engage respectfully throughout our sessions.
- If either party feels unwell or experiences symptoms of illness, the session will be rescheduled to prioritise health and safety.
- Sessions will conclude promptly at the agreed time to respect everyone’s schedule and commitments.
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. If a cancellation occurs within less than 48 hours, the price of the next session will be increased to cover the cost of the missed session, except in cases of emergency or illness.
- All payments must be made through Superprof; no bank transfers or other payment methods are accepted.
