About Joseph
Joseph Digney is a musical theater performer from Marysville, Ohio who has always loved making people laugh. Raised by a single mom, he grew up learning the value of hard work, resilience, and not taking life too seriously. As a kid, he was the class clown, the one cracking jokes in the back of the room and doing whatever it took to get a smile out of someone.
Eventually that instinct to entertain found its way to the stage. What started as a love of making people laugh quickly grew into a passion for storytelling, movement, and live performance. Now studying Musical Theater at Slippery Rock University, Joseph has developed a strong love for high-energy roles that combine acting, singing, and athletic dance.
Offstage, Joseph is usually in the gym, listening to music, watching movies, or spending time with the people who helped him get where he is today. At the heart of everything he does is a simple goal: to work hard, keep growing, and create performances that make audiences feel something, whether that’s laughter, joy, or a little bit of both.

My approach as a tutor is practical and focused on helping students perform with confidence and truth. I teach acting song and monologue work through clear direction and hands on coaching so students can apply changes right away. I focus on storytelling intention and making strong performance choices that feel natural and grounded.
A typical lesson begins with a short check in and warm up. We then work through the material line by line or section by section and make adjustments in real time. Students get the chance to repeat the work and build stronger choices with each run. We finish with a full performance and clear goals for practice.
What sets me apart is my experience as a working actor which helps me prepare students for real auditions and performance situations. I keep sessions engaging supportive and focused on growth.
My lessons are for beginners intermediate and advanced students in acting musical theatre and audition preparation.
