About Julia
I have often found that students believe they are either 'good or bad' in subjects, particularly numerical subjects like maths and physics. However, improving your mathematical ability can be done easily with practice. I would love to enhance my student's confidence by providing the correct tools to attempt problems i.e. not just teaching pure maths/physics but problem-solving skills to aid the application of concepts. I am friendly, patient, and eager to help!

Being a full-time student I will be offering my assistance over Zoom, utilizing tools such as an online shared whiteboard to keep sessions interactive. I received 9s (A* equivalent) in Maths & Physics at GCSE as well as 7s (A* equivalent) in IB Higher Level Physics & Maths. I have been tutoring (initially as a volunteer to my peers) for 3 years and have a few current students. Having completed my IB Diploma throughout Covid disruptions I understand the difficulty of online school and would love to improve my students' confidence in areas that may have been overlooked by reinforcing the foundations of concepts. Applications of topics will be tested with exam-style questions at the appropriate level for the student. Lessons typically last an hour as I find students tend to lose focus with longer sessions.
