About Drew
Let me introduce myself! I'm Drew, a current History student at the University of Nottingham going into my final year of study and currently beginning work on my dissertation. I have a passion for history that has seen me spend a year at a college out in the USA for the past 12 months as a part of my course and so I'm well-versed in different education and assessment methods. At the end of my time in the USA I graduated with a GPA of 3.93/4, getting onto the Dean's List for both of the semesters that I was out there. The reason that I find myself wanting to teach on here is because I wish that I could have had a tutor during my years at A-Level/GCSE, and now that I find myself in this position, I feel it is a great thing to do to be able to pass on my knowledge and help to both those that need it and those that perhaps seek to take their history studies further!

My approach to our lessons is simple, to get the best out of you. When it comes down to answering that essay question, it is essential to Keep Things Simple! Under my guidance I will help you to learn the relevant knowledge to the topic, with the targeted amount of detail, and most importantly, to Answer. The. Question! In terms of lesson structure we will work on a 2-part lesson plan, with the first part focusing on the knowledge and detail that is necessary to know for our essay question. In the second part, we will tackle our essay question head-on, discussing how we would go about answering it, what knowledge we can use and perhaps the most important part, *which* knowledge we should use. In essay writing, conciseness is key, and making sure that you answer the question at hand clearly, ensures that you will gain a high mark. Under my guidance not only in the aforementioned areas but also in writing style, planning and critical thinking, I will help to guarantee in getting the very best out of you.
