My approach to tutoring is a written, in person style of learning. I believe that the best way to retain information is by seeing it written down in front of you.
A typical lesson plan would be developed a day or two in advance, with the knowledge of what I need to teach. It is slightly easier to receive practice questions to go over in advance, but this is not required as I can create questions on the spot too if needed.
I believe, as a math student who initially worked far ahead of my grade that all students learn in a different way. As a tutor, I have many different approaches to solving problems and can adapt my instruction to meet each student’s individual learning style, helping them build a more personalized understanding of the material.
