About Efterpi
I am currently a graduate student at North Carolina State University. I am studying for my Masters in Animal Science with the intent of continuing on to receive a PhD in animal behavior. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Health Care Management in May 2022. I tutor students in a variety of subjects and am most comfortable teaching students of high school and college levels. I also have experience in preparing students to study for exams such as AP exams, the SAT, and GRE. During my time as an undergraduate, I took many science classes. These courses were centered around biology, chemistry, and physics. During my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I have experience presenting my own research studies to groups of students and professors. The skills that I gained from being able to present my own work has made it much easier for me to explain complex scientific concepts to groups of people.

I have been tutoring since 2013 - approximately 10+ years! I am dedicated to helping individuals meet their specific goals and succeed in their studies. I always found an interest in teaching and helping others. I would often help classmates when they needed help on assignments and I have been told I am able to explain assignments clearly. Since I have been helping students for a while, I have learned to tailor my teaching approach to each individual’s unique learning style. I understand that everyone has a different way of learning and obtaining information and I find that acknowledging this ensures that every student will have an opportunity to succeed. My teaching experience does extend beyond the sciences however, I do believe that my background in the sciences has allowed me to obtain skills such as effective communication, time management, and patience. I believe that my passion for helping students reach their academic goals and understand concepts taught in the classroom will make me an outstanding tutor for students that are seeking additional help.
