About Austen
Although I am a junior, I am experienced in teaching and leadership skills. Along with being the captain of our robotics team and debate team and teaching students skills needed for their competitions, I have also successfully organized and ran two summer camps teaching over 50 students from grades 4-10 about engineering principles as well as chemistry and physics. I also frequently tutor in Spanish and Mathematics.

Along with aiding students with homework or practice problems, I take a hands-on approach to teaching. I find that students learn best when I walk them through problems. In addition, the fact that I’m currently enrolled in an advanced calculus course means that I am constantly learning tips that I can share and apply to my students.
