About Day
Hello! My name is Uday. I take a patient, supportive approach that allows each student to learn at their own pace while still being challenged to grow. My previous students have made strong progress by combining structured lessons with practical and customized learning materials. I am fully committed to helping each student achieve their individual goals and feel confident in translating my abilities to any math-related subject. I have experience teaching English to international students, including working one-on-one with students from Ukraine to help them strengthen their language skills for both academic and professional use. Through personalized lessons, I focused on building my students’ confidence in speaking, writing, and understanding English in real-world situations. AP test scores: 5 in AP Calc BC, 5 in Macroeconomics, 5 in AP Lit, 5 in AP Lang, 5 in AP Gov, + additional 4s and 5s unrelated

My prior experience as an English tutor over Zoom for students in Ukraine allowed me to experiment with effective online teaching methods, although I can just as easily translate that to an in-person setting. From my experience, I have found an error-based, self-learning approach to be the most efficient in shaping the problem-solving abilities of the student. Despite the distance between my students and me in the past, I maintained a strong bond with 3 students (18+) as I provided them with homework, detailed lessons, and tests that focused on practicality, tailored to their respective goals. Despite that being my first time tutoring, I managed to construct effective, structured lessons well in advance with the materials provided to me. I am very patient with my students as I provide them with opportunities for self-growth, straying away from simply putting questions on a sheet for them to answer.
