About Ada

I graduated with a Law LLB degree in the summer of 2022 from the LSE. I am currently studying my LLM Master's in Law again at the LSE. Whilst acting as a Student Academic Mentor for the LSE Law Department throughout my undergraduate degree, I have been accredited with an CPD Certificate for my mentoring skills. I have also assisted as an LNAT Tutor in the summer of 2020 to a professional educational consulting business. I am familiar with both one-to-one as well as group teaching.

Since I have varied expertise in multiple law topics, I can use my knowledge and the legal skills I have developed myself to help others achieve to their full potential. Law is not so much about knowing everything there is to know about a particular subject; rather, it is about knowing how to utilise in the best way possible what you already know. As such, I can offer tutoring in the following law areas; criminal law, tort law, legal systems, jurisprudence, medical law, competition law, intellectual property law, Information technology/cyber law and land law.

About the lesson

My classes are aimed at LLB undergraduate students from all universities who focus on legal branches of the English Legal System.

The typical length of a lesson will usually last about an hour. The frequency of each lesson will depend on the student too, their needs and preferences. I suggest that a weekly class shall be the default, just so that there can be a steady course of development and progression in the knowledge and skills that the students are to receive. An alternative arrangement can of course be settled after discussing with each student.

The teaching methodology I will implement rests on a cooperative approach, through which I aim to provide material to students (notes, presentations, and readings) before asking them to critically engage and reflect on them. Class material will be either provided either a day before the class (so that students can have a quick readthrough) or during class. This is in order not to overburden students with additional work. Following their initial acquaintance with the material, I will ask students to discuss these with me, so that we can reach a conclusion on what the key takeaways are and how that knowledge relates to the main subject. Additionally, classes will be aimed at answering the students' questions. As such, I propose that students facing uncertainties during their university work can note them down and come to me, so that I can solve and answer them.
