About Caitlyn
I am a first year student at the University of Maine at Machias, majoring in Marine Biology. I grew up in Colorado and lived there my whole life and I am now in Maine to continue in higher level education. I have been at the top of my class from middle school all the way through high school, so I have experience helping friends, siblings, and other classmates to better understand what we are learning. I am very adaptive and have multiple learning styles and methods of studying, so I am able to cater my tutoring to the student themselves. I have had a passion in math, science, and music for a long time, and I hope that I can instill that in others, or at least make it tolerable.

I like to focus on what each individual student needs as well as their own personal learning methods. That being said, I want the student to guide their own session, whether that be learning study tips, trying to get a concept down, or learning helpful ways for them to learn in a way that works best for them. I have experience working with students at varying levels and learning methods so my sessions will be flexible and personalized to give you the best experience. These lessons are going to be for middle school to high school students, particularly in math and science. I can also offer music lessons for flute players as beginners or intermediate players.
