I started teaching as a career change after I left my job in finance. I truly love what I do because I am able to help students unlock their potential and gain confidence in their abilities. My goal as a teacher is to help students unlock their potential, gain confidence in their abilities, and change their outlooks on math. My typical lesson plans include real life applications of the topics being taught. I like to "trick" my students into doing math to initially show them that they can do the work. I try to make tutoring as enjoyable as possible for my students, while ensuring they reach mastery of the topics. I am different from other tutors because everything I work on with your student will be specifically designed to remediate your students areas in which they are struggling. I have previous expereince tutoring and teaching math from grades 6-12. My specialty is Algebra 1 and test prep tutoring for the SAT, ACT, and end of year testing.
