About Sophie
I have self-studied many classes myself and have learned how to teach things to myself which I believe will translate into teaching others, especially as I learn by understanding conceptually. I have also tutored both in school and private paid tutoring in the past. I also have founded an organization for neurodiverse children and have spent tutoring kids of all backgrounds. Outside of tutoring, I have also competed in high school speech and debate which has taught me to communicate clearly with others.

I can tutor in both reading and math for SAT and ACT, math classes up to AP Calc BC and AP Stats, physics up to AP Physics C, AP Chem, AP Bio, or help with applications for colleges. I can also tutor younger children in any subjects!
I plan on teaching in a way where students understand the material rather than just memorizing it and will research the specific topic before the lesson to teach in the best way. I aim to foster deep understanding while also focusing on applying what is learned to practice questions, so that topics are fully understood and can be applied to many different situations.
