About Sophie
I have been learning French for almost 7 years and have had several immersive experiences in France that have allowed me to hone my speaking and comprehension skills. I am always eager to learn more about the French language, and I am passionate about teaching new (or long time) learners, bringing in inspiration from my own experiences, both academic and personal.

Learning a language is all about practice, so I place emphasis on speaking and active listening exercises. While conversation is the main focus, learning vocabulary and composition is just as essential. Using engaging and catchy mnemonics and rhymes, I personalize methods for studying and memorizing vocabulary. With my own experience abroad in France, I have a unique insight into how the French converse and how culture plays an integral role in language-- and vice versa. I am able to teach beginner to advanced levels of French.
