About Georgia
I am a PhD student studying archaeology. I teach on and off at the university but have found that I really enjoy one on one tutoring and have seen first hand the way it can change a student's outlook. I have always had a passion for teaching people things in a way which is easy to understand and fun! I worked in a museum briefly during my undergraduate degree and loved seeing the kids come in and get excited about history and really engage with the exhibitions. I finally decided to work as an online tutor when a masters student came to me after a session and told me that I made her feel much more comfortable than her teacher and that I really helped her to feel more confident in her ability. I want to be able to help all students feel confident, intelligent and ready to reach for their goals!

My personal approach to teaching is to be realistic and friendly.To ensure that my students are not only learning but also enjoying and engaging in the sessions. I find the more enjoyable a class the more information is absorbed! Creating a friendly atmosphere is also important as all students should feel comfortable asking any questions and the session should feel safe and non-judgemental.
I have developed this teaching style through aiding masters level students in exams and laboratory settings and asking the students themselves what they found helpful.
I have 11 a*-c grades at GCSE level.
I have 3 a-levels in History, Sociology and Classical Civilisation.
I have a BA in Historical Archaeology, an MSc in Human Osteology and Paleopathology and am currently undertaking a PhD in Archaeology.
I am available to tutor students in:
GSCE - History, English Literature, Psychology, Sociology
A-Level - History, Sociology, English Literature, Classics, Archaeology and Anthropology
Undergraduate - Archaeology, Osteology and general essay writing skills.
