About Gabrielle
Hello! I'm Gabrielle! I am a current PhD student in History at the University of Houston. I received my MA in History Spring 2025, and my BA in History Fall 2022.
I started tutoring while I was still very young. I was involved in a peer-tutoring program during middle school. Professionally, I have been tutoring since Spring 2021. I have a year of private tutoring experience, along with three semesters tutoring at the University of Houston LAUNCH Program in which I received my level three CRLA certification in tutoring. Over the past year, I have gained much experience tutoring English/Reading/Writing test prep for both the SAT and ACT working with a tutoring institution.
Over these experiences, I have tutored writing, grammar, and general reading comprehension for students of the ages 14 to current college students. My specialization is in history, of which I have gained experience teaching students during my time as Teaching Assistant for college-level history courses since Fall 2023.

I would describe my tutoring style as incredibly flexible and willing to work with each student as an individual and personalize their tutoring experience with me based on their individual needs. I am a positive instructor and gravitate heavily towards positive feedback and influences. If you are looking for a hard, stern tutor, that is not me. I believe positive feedback to be far more effective in providing a safe space for students to learn, want to learn, and learn to love learning.
