About Ben
‘Excellent students should demonstrate a weighted and balanced analysis with excellent subject knowledge and a thematic approach.’ Now you can imagine when I was 16 years old how utterly incomprehensible this sentence must have seemed. I simply couldn’t understand what this meant or what the examiner was expecting me to do. After three long years of hard work, I was finally able to employ this sentence in such a way so as to achieve full marks on an exam question and gain a place at my dream university. Having experienced both the dejection of failure, and the joy of success, I have an unparalleled understanding of the tips and tricks on how to ace your exams. I have previously tutored several students in person, and want to expand my tutees to include online clients. I am also in the process of writing a ‘How to Ace Your A-Levels’ study guide to help students wherever they may be.
I currently study Politics, International Studies and Quantitative Methods at the University of Warwick after receiving straight A's in my A-Levels. My current course of study is very balanced between quantitative and written analysis meaning I have a strong understanding of most of the areas of the social sciences. Please feel free to get in touch to explore how I can help you achieve your goals.

Combining a stylistic and substantive approach, I provide high quality and engaging tuition to students currently studying for their GCSEs or A-Levels. I employ a range of methods to guide my students through the often complex and daunting exam experience- where a turn-of-phrase can mean the difference between achieving a high mark or not. In our first session, I will explore your needs and concerns about your areas of study and fit them into a wider context of your end goals. We will then agree on a personalised step by step programme where I can support you to not just meet your goals, but exceed them. I will give you one-to-one feedback on written work, highlighting the subtle tricks that your teacher won’t tell you, whilst structuring your learning so you are fully prepared for exam season. We will discover what type of learner you are, and then employ this to aid in comprehension and memorising key topics and ideas.
