About Riyasa

Hello! I currently teach in the prep school at Rugby School Thailand, a British boarding school, and previously attended Rugby School UK on a 16+ scholarship. I’m currently on a gap year and have over four years of experience privately tutoring students.

Having worked with students of different abilities, I understand that everyone learns differently. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence in subjects they find difficult and genuinely understand what they’re learning, rather than just memorising things for an exam. I find it really rewarding to see students improve and achieve grades they might not have thought possible, and I always aim to make my lessons encouraging, engaging and suited to each individual student.

About the lesson

I believe the key to Maths is understanding the method, not just memorising formulae. My lessons focus on breaking down difficult topics, identifying where students struggle and building their confidence through practice. I also use past-paper questions to help students improve their exam technique and work towards the grades they want to achieve.
