About Cole

I'm very open and adaptable. I move along the student's pace. I have been learning Spanish since 1st grade and seriously learning since freshman year of high school. Currently a 22-year-old senior at Arizona State University that majors in Spanish specializing in linguistics which deep dives into the rules and application of the language. What drives me to tutor and help people develop their bilingualism with Spanish is because many United States born whose first and only language is English is faulted through the high school curriculum which generally provides skill building in vocabulary and word conjugations complemented with rudimentary structure in teaching pronunciation. In the United States, public schools teach students English in their early stages of life supplementing their skills with introductions to phonetics, syntax, and pragmatics which is omitted in the many high school curriculums. These skills that I specialize in are ESSENTIAL for serious learners to improve in language learning. These steps of the ladder are missing in high school curriculums. With a passion to help people learn language, I supplement these essential skills to students.

About the lesson

I offer a personalized experience curating lessons based on the level of the student and tangent to their curriculum in school. In consideration of the student's school curriculum, will also provide lessons and information that are supplementary and strongly reinforce skill building for Spanish. Lessons are developed around students that are K-12, and in college. I offer lessons to college students for 100s & 200s classes. I specialize and have capacity to teach syntax, morphology, phonology, sociolinguistics, semantics, pragmatics, and conjugations.

Details

Work at an hourly rate, sessions that are more than one hour are negotiable but time availability is dependent on circumstance. In-person sessions only at a public space.
