About Garrett
I've been teaching music in a variety of spaces and scenarios throughout the last couple of years. It began as a small affinity as I helped my classmates pick up various parts of the drums in high school. This blossomed into a more disciplined enjoyment, as seeing my students progress is one of the strongest joys I have ever experienced. As such, it is my guarantee that the lessons will challenge you while still leaving room for some loose jamming. I look forward to being your tutor!

Hi! My name is Garrett, and I've been playing the drums for as long as I can remember. The most important part of my drum journey has certainly been the tutors and teachers that have equipped me with the knowledge of both how to technically play the instrument, and how to especially enjoy it.
I aim to cover both aspects; I like beginning with the fundamentals and truly grasping the building blocks of playing, but I also adore making sure that each student does something they want to in each lesson. Whether that's learning (or trying to learn!) a song they're into, going into detail about a specific field, I like keeping things open in order to keep music as jubilant and jovial as possible.
My lessons are for anybody who needs them! Whether you're just starting out, have been going for a minute, or a little more advanced, I'm sure I can give you something new to try out. Perhaps I'll learn something as well!
