About Kayinsola
Hello, I’m Kayinsola! I am a BA Human Social and Political Sciences Graduate from Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge and I'm currently getting my Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. I have been tutoring and teaching for over seven years now, both online and in person mainly one-on-one for a vast range of subjects. I focus primarily on Oxbridge Admissions and Interviews, Personal Statement Writing, US University Admissions, Sociology, English Literature and Essay Writing. I also have experience preparing students for the 11+, GCSE’s and A-Levels, with my experience being primarily in AQA and OCR exam boards.
Many of my students have gone on to achieve places at top UK universities such as Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, Durham and Warwick, as well as top US universities. I am a believer that the university admissions process is a longer term one that yields success when you invest in the process from early on in year 12. I am happy to guide students through what can be a stressful process and a challenging time as students juggle so many aspects of life.

As a current student and as someone getting their postgrad degree in education, I’m always learning more about what works in teaching and what doesn’t and adapting my teaching style as such. I always put the students and their needs first, tailoring each session to prioritise this, and in order to this I have to get to know the student I’m teaching. The best lessons are conducted when there’s a rapport between student and teacher and the lesson comes to life. Despite my subjects being essay focused, I believe in lessons being highly interactive and discussion based so that students can engage in active learning. It helps to talk things out!
As a successful Cambridge, Harvard and other top university applicant, I’m keen to help out students throughout the application process. From advice about choosing universities, to personal statement creation, pre-interview coaching and mock interview practice, I am here and happy to help!
Often it can feel unclear what is expected of students with essay based subjects, but I’m here to break down these issues into clear understandable steps, which students can implement long after their time with me is done. I am a big believer in simplifying complex topics in an easy way that everyone can understand.
With experience teaching students from ages 10-22, I’m very flexible and keen to adapt lessons for every learning style and individual situations and needs!
I believe that a confident learner is a successful learner and that confidence is crucial at any level of education. I will encourage, not humiliate and you can be confident that topics will be approached in a way that students can make speedy and long-lasting progress.

I met Kayinsola at Cambridge University, where we both studied Human Social and Political Sciences. As a confident speaker, researcher and educator, Kayinsola conducted research within the university on access to education. She presented the results of this research in front of students and academics. She also worked as a mentor to students in 6th form whilst at university, providing guidance to young people looking to apply to university and tutoring on a number of humanities subjects She also worked as an English teacher in Thailand, creating inclusive lesson plans, engaging the whole classroom and proving herself to be an apt problem solver when students were overwhelmed or felt discouraged, adjusting different lesson plans to suit their abilities. She was able to work across a wide age range, teaching students from Year 1 to Year 6. Warm, encouraging, reliable and motivational, Kayinsola would be the perfect fit for this role.
Kayinsola is a trustworthy tutor who is always prepared, patient, and reliable. She explains concepts clearly, adapts to my learning needs, and consistently follows through on her commitments.
Kayinsola is an outstanding tutor who combines knowledge from her academic excellence with a genuinely supportive teaching style tailored to the needs and level of the student.
After studying at Cambridge and now mastering in Harvard School of Education, she has first-hand experience of high-level academic study and exams.
I would confidently recommend her to any student aiming to excel academically and work towards grades of the top percentile.
Extremely friendly and down to earth, she makes learning fun and relatable!
Kayinsola tutored my daughter in the 11+ and helped my son through his personal statement process. She was extremely helpful throughout both processes and my son was able to get into his top university choice and daughter got passed the 11+! Thank you.
