About Shamia
Hi, I’m Mia! I’m a math major who has always loved math and science. I went to Alexander Road High School and, like many students, I once had a year where I struggled with math. With the help of a great teacher, I regained my confidence and started enjoying it again, an experience that showed me how much a good teacher can influence a learner’s success. Coming from an educator background, with my mother being a teacher as well, I’ve always valued the power of patience, encouragement, and clear explanations. As a student myself, I understand what it’s like to learn from both sides, and I aim to make math understandable, enjoyable, and confidence-building for every learner I work with.
