About Zak

I'm currently in my third year studying Economics at the University of Southampton. During this time I have built on my knowledge of maths and feel like I'm at an adequate stage to use this knowledge to help others and hopefully make a difference in their learning and subsequent grades and results. When not at university, I reside in north London where I enjoy spending time with my family - even helping my sister with her schoolwork.

About the lesson

I believe when tutoring one individual, there is a real possibility to formulate a personalised form of education in which the student is receiving their preferred teaching method, whether that be visual aids, real-life examples or interactive exercises.

A typical length of lesson should be 45 minutes to an hour as this not only matches the length of lessons students are accustomed to but any longer can lead students to lose concentration.

My father was a teacher and growing up and witnessing firsthand his passion for teaching and learning has inspired me to pursue tutoring and apply the skills I learnt from him which include patience, empathy and adaptability.
I have actively tutored my younger sister throughout her academic journey, providing great assistance with her mathematics.

My tutoring is tailored to students of all ages up to and including GCSEs, i feel my skills are best utilised in helping students with foundational support.
