About Melaniya

Melaniya is a dynamic artist to put it short. Born in Russia, Melaniya moved to the United States in 2006, an experience that profoundly shaped her artistic vision and practice. Melaniya's art explores themes of identity, belonging, and cultural integration, reflecting her journey and the blending of her Russian heritage with her American surroundings. She works across various mediums, using her art to bridge cultural divides and foster a deeper understanding of the immigrant experience. Melaniya’s unique perspective and ability to communicate across cultural boundaries have made her a compelling voice in contemporary art. With her graduation from high school in May of 2024, she continues to explore and challenge perceptions of cultural identity, aiming to inspire dialogue and promote cultural understanding through her art. Melaniya is committed to developing her practice, always seeking new ways to express the intricate tapestry of her experiences and heritage.

About the lesson

As a dedicated tutor, I am passionate about fostering a love for learning in my students. With over 2 years of experience in tutoring and classroom settings, I specialize in subjects like Adobe Illustrator, Algebra, Creative Writing, and Graphic Design. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to express their creativity and improve their skills. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I strive to connect with each individual to help them achieve their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring different forms of art and design, which continually informs my teaching approach and enriches my students' learning experiences.
