About Thomas
As a teacher for over six years, I have developed skills that I can employ to ensure student success. I know what techniques work best for students, including when is the best time to let them do their own work. That kind of experience is not something that is easily acquired outside of education. Too often, there isn’t enough time for individualized help in the classroom. When teachers are responsible for thirty students, getting one-to-one interventions is difficult for both the teacher and student to pursue. However, I think it is also how students can learn best. That is why I think tutoring is so empowering for learning. You can get the direct help you need on any subject you need. If we need to spend some time with grammar and syntax, I can create a lesson that will have us go through that. If we need help with essay planning, I have lessons to assist with that as well. If we need to spend time reading, I have passages that will assist with skill development and questions to deepen understanding.
