About Eloise
Hi there! I'm Eloise, a dedicated student and tutor who believes that every student has an 'aha!' moment waiting to happen. I don't just teach subjects, I coach students to become confident, creative and independent thinkers. It is incredibly rewarding to help someone find their voice - whether it's through a Shakespearean soliloquy, a complex French verb conjugation or a breakthrough essay. For me, tutoring isn't just about passing tests (though we will certainly do that!). There is nothing more exciting than watching a student grow from 'I can't do this' to 'I've got this!'. I'm here to provide the encouragement, patience and tools you need to bridge that gap.

Finding the right tutor is more than just finding someone who knows the subject - it's about finding someone who understands how you learn. If you're looking for an engaging approach to mastering the likes of English Lit, French or your acting skills, here is how we can work together to do so.
I believe learning is most effective when it is dynamic and personalised. I don't lecture, I engage.
For English Literature, we move beyond the plot. I teach you how to 'interrogate' a text, using close reading techniques and broadening contexts to build sophisticated essays.
For French, I utilise immersive expressions phonetic drills. My goal is to move you past textbook grammar into natural, more expansive expressions that allow you to stand out.
For Drama, I focus on objective-based acting, voice projection and emotional honesty so you can really tap into character through a variety of techniques.
I am currently studying English Literature at King's College London and just graduated from a year's acting course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
As someone with acting industry experience as well as self-tapes and audition prep, I show students how these skills that we build, flow into real life.
I work with a range of learners and adapt my pace accordingly whether it's for GCSE or A Level to boost grades or ages of 7+ for acting classes or guidance from a different perspective.
Sessions will usually run for 60 minutes, though 90-minute intensive sessions are available for audition prep or if more time would be preferable for the student!
These will be available in person - London - or online via Google Meet/Whatsapp.
