About Andreas
I am a former International Baccalaureate student and currently working towards a double major at University of Rochester. Both a B.S. in Political Science and a B.A. in Language, Media, and Communications. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring and being a teaching assistant. My goal is to help your child no longer need my tutoring services and give them the skills to learn effectively on their own. Your child's education is my number one priority. I focus on understanding the concepts and building logic and problem-solving skills within math. If you've ever heard the saying "Give a man a fish he'll eat for one night, teach a man to fish he'll eat his whole life" that is my teaching philosophy. When I was younger I used to hate math before I had teachers that taught me why math works the way it does not just how to do it. Math is just a series of puzzles based on established rules and principles. My experience comes from teaching kids at the middle school level and high school level. I have a particular interest in statistics, geometry, and trigonometry but I also have experience teaching algebra I & II.
