About Shourya
I’m currently studying computer science at the University of Sydney and achieved a 7 in IB maths AA HL. I enjoy solving problems, playing football, watching the UFC, and eating an unreasonable amount of chicken.
I have experience tutoring peers and junior students throughout high school and enjoy helping people understand concepts in a way that actually makes sense to them. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and focused on building confidence, not just memorizing methods.
I aim to create lessons that are both productive and comfortable so students feel confident asking questions, improving steadily, and enjoying the learning process along the way.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation. I break difficult concepts down into simpler steps, focus on problem solving, and adapt explanations based on how each student learns best. My goal is to help students become confident approaching unfamiliar questions independently rather than relying on fixed methods.
Lessons would typically run for 60–90 minutes depending on the student’s needs. I would usually structure classes around reviewing concepts, working through examples together, and then applying those ideas to more challenging questions.
I achieved a 7 in IB maths AA HL and have experience tutoring peers and junior students throughout high school. Through this, I developed strong communication skills and learned how to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
My lessons are mainly aimed at high school mathematics students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve problem solving skills, and build confidence in maths.
