About Isabelle
I am a first-generation university student currently studying towards my degree in Earth sciences at the University of Oxford. Maths and the sciences were subjects that never came naturally to me, and it was through the influence of some truly amazing teachers that I found my passion for the natural sciences, leading to me pursuing my science degree at my dream university. I believe that with the right method, any subject can be taught to any student, and help to inspire curiosity for the sciences. I have tutored extensively in the past, and have always enjoyed guiding others to fulfilling their ambitions within their subjects.

I believe in a gentle and encouraging approach to teaching. In subjects such as maths, one of the biggest hurdles in the journey to success is confidence. I always endeavour to install this confidence in their ability into my students, which in turn fosters a natural curiosity towards other concepts within the subject. I find helping students to visualise concepts in the real world often is more helpful than simply explaining a concept, and allows them to be able to see how the things we learn is reflected in the real world.
