About Prez

Teaching English literature is my area of interest because it lets me dig into interesting stories, explore creativity and viewpoints, and inspire my students to love the language and be imaginative. I get so much joy and satisfaction from seeing their minds grow, helping them think critically, and making sure they appreciate the essence of this subject. Ever since school, English Literature and History have been my favorite subjects. I have always been interested in learning and more importantly teaching. Communication plays a huge role in my class and this is of prime importance as it boosts and motivates the student (YOU) to be creative and improve your critical thinking skills while engaging in active dialogue. I have also been an athlete and played basketball at the international level, representing India playing for the NBA Academy. My hobbies include reading, playing video games and working out!

About the lesson

Studying English is not just reading and rote learning, it is about understanding and analyzing the meaning behind those lines, thinking and being imaginative, boosting your skills in this manner. I believe it is the perspective and the method of teaching that really engages a student. I follow a creative and balanced approach while teaching English Literature, and make sure my students work hard and have fun while studying! The usual structure of the class would be going through the textbook / worksheet of the student, explaining the text/concept, clearing doubts and having a small recap session at the end. Routine Tests will also be conducted to better the learning experiences for my students, if necessary. As stated these classes are intended for primary and secondary school students from 5th Grade to 11th Grade. (ICSE and/or CBSE).

Prez is a very smart teacher. He takes effort to understand what every student needs and adapts to that. He understands that not every student is on the same level and alters his teaching style to that. Trust me, you won’t find someone as dedicated as him to aid in your learning experience. Other than this, he constantly makes effort to learn the latest teaching techniques to ensure that your mind is engaged throughout the class. Overall, he is an incredibly reliable teacher to have and I would 10/10 recommend him.
