Teaching Techniques:
As a beginner, I am working to incorporate an inquiry-based approach, encouraging students to ask questions and discover answers on their own to promote critical thinking. I'm also trying to implement problem-solving exercises that relate to real-life scenarios, guiding students through step-by-step solutions to enhance their reasoning skills. Additionally, I emphasize discussion-based learning, where I hope to create an environment for students to explain their thought processes and explore alternative approaches, making learning more interactive and engaging.
Class Structure:
A typical class starts with a 10-15 minute introduction to the key concepts, ensuring students understand the topic's relevance. This is followed by 30-40 minutes of problem-solving practice, where students work through exercises of increasing complexity, with my guidance. We then spend 10-15 minutes discussing different solutions and analyzing errors or alternate methods. The session ends with a 5-minute wrap-up, summarizing key points and assigning practice problems for homework.
Special Features:
I focus heavily on critical thinking, helping students not only solve problems but also understand the underlying principles. My approach empowers students to actively participate, guiding their own learning while adapting to their individual needs.
Target Audience:
My classes are designed for 11th and 12th-grade students, especially those preparing for board exams or competitive tests like JEE and NEET, where problem-solving and analytical skills are crucial.
