About Heidi
I am a Computer Science student at Austin Community College with a passion for teaching Algebra and Pre-Algebra. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy exploring the stars through my love of astronomy, going on backpacking adventures, and diving into a good book. I also have a dog who keeps me company on my journeys. My goal as a tutor is to make learning math enjoyable and accessible by breaking down complex concepts and building confidence in my students.

As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and personalized learning environment. My teaching method breaks down complex concepts into simpler steps, ensuring that students fully understand the material before progressing.
In each session, I assess the student's current knowledge, set clear learning goals, and provide guided practice with problem-solving. My background in Computer Science helps me integrate logical thinking and problem-solving strategies into math lessons.
I work with middle school and highschool students particularly in Algebra and Pre-Algebra, helping them build confidence and achieve success in their studies.
