About Prem
As a dedicated and patient tutor, I am committed to helping every student feel confident, supported and capable of achieving their goals. With a strong academic foundation from my Bachelor of Human Movement/Master of Teaching and hands-on experience as a Student Support Officer at Salisbury High School, I bring both subject knowledge and practical teaching skills to every lesson. I have extensive experience working with students of different ages, abilities, and learning needs, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my approach and explain concepts in clear, simple ways. Professionalism, reliability, and respect are central to my teaching. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges, create a safe and encouraging learning environment, and build lessons that match their pace and learning style. My goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also develop confidence, independence, and a genuine interest in learning.

My tutoring style is supportive, clear, and student-focused. I believe in breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps and using examples that match each student’s learning style. I use a mix of explanations, visual aids, guided practice, and real-life applications to help students feel confident and engaged. I always encourage questions, check for understanding, and adjust my teaching speed depending on the learner. My aim is to create a comfortable environment where students feel motivated rather than pressured.
A typical lesson runs for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs, attention level, and the subject we are covering. I can also offer shorter or longer sessions when required.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Human Movement/Master of Teaching, and I work as a Student Support Officer at Salisbury High School. This role has given me hands-on experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioural, and learning needs. Combined with my studies in education, I understand how to structure lessons, build rapport, and adapt teaching methods effectively.
My lessons are suitable for primary and high school students, including learners who need extra support in health, PE, human movement concepts, basic science, study skills, or general schoolwork. I also work well with students who benefit from calm, patient, and step-by-step guidance.
