About Hannah
I am an aspiring Mathematics teacher who loves to help students, when I was studying A-level Mathematics I would help those in my class as well as when I would shadow my Maths teacher and help in his classes. I found it most rewarding when students who would be struggling in class would be able to successfully understand topics and questions after I helped them. No one is perfect so I don’t want my students to be afraid of making mistakes as I also make mistakes what matters is how we deal with the mistakes and that they try their very best.

I am flexible with my teaching style and love to adapt the teaching to each student's learning style. I find that the best way to teach students is for me to explain the topic and go through practice questions to identify key processes to solve the questions before allowing the student to attempt questions themselves before going through them together to identify any mistakes. This will allow me to identify if I need to reteach certain aspects of the topic to ensure that the student understands where they made the mistake and how they can correct it. When mistakes are made I prefer to see if the student can see where they went wrong before I tell them as in the future they will be able to identify it themselves and will be less likely to make that mistake again.
My lessons can last an hour but I’m happy to discuss any changes.
I am happy to support students studying GCSE Maths (both tiers) as long as I am told the exam board.
I am currently one year into my four-year journey of completing my Mathematics degree which I scored the highest in my cohort. After my degree I will complete the QTS to allow me to become a fully qualified Mathematics teacher.
As I am working as a Learning support assistant in a secondary school I am able to adapt how the content is taught to suit the student's learning style.
